Blue Butterfly Honouring Our Children

The minds of children are like sponges, they absorb and internalize "everything" they are exposed to:

May we provide a loving home for our children. One that is free from abuse, harm, and neglect.
May we provide our children with nourishing meals, adequate clothing, and a warm clean bed to sleep in.
May we make our children feel special and valued; provide them with the necessary encouragement and support,
so that they can grow up to be confident, secure, and self-reliant adults.
May we, upon our children becoming ill or injured: be there for them and nurse them back to health.

May we provide our children with loving guidance, and pass on to them, over the years our gentle wisdom.
May we teach our children that as they journey through life, they will experience; the right and wrong; the good...
and bad; the beautiful and the not so beautiful, and how they come to terms with this, will determine who...
          as a person they become.

May we teach our children on how to protect themselves; to be vigilant and cautious, and to avoid those who...
would use, abuse, or harm them. For them to also know that there are good people in this world who care...
and want the best for them.
May we teach our children to speak their truth; quietly and clearly, to stand up for what they believe in and value.
May we teach our children that learning is a life-long process. And those who read-to-learn on a daily basis, and
learn the importance of mastering self-discipline and self-control - succeed.
May we prepare our children for the challenges of adulthood, to avoid the many pitfalls of life and of that which...
        is life-defeating.
May we teach our children that if they think positively, and act on that positivism, good things will happen. And that...
for the most part: success occurs when preparation meets opportunity.
May we teach our children to see the good and the not so good in themselves, in others, and keep healthy perspective.
That there will be moments of "testedness and temptation."
May we teach our children, the consequences of wrong association, and of bad decision-making whether it be in...
food, drink, thought, effort, behavior, activity, work, or people.
May we when our children have made a bad life-choice or life-decision, that we speak up, stand up to them, and...
by them while they work it through. Knowing when to agree to disagree, with each mutually respecting in that...
moment where the other is at. For as a parent/adult, it just may be a learning-moment for us. For we live in a...
        forever changing and forward-thinking world.
May we through the years, be there for our children, letting them know that wherever life may take them we are...
         here for them.

And in doing the above, we will have taught our children... what it is to love.Blue Butterfly
